School Infrastructure

The first impression on entering St. Dominic’s is that of space. There are plenty of wide open spaces and very spacious and generous classroom and other school facilities. This gives the children plenty of room to be themselves without worries of getting hurt or injured.

Computer Centre

The school has a fine computer laboratory with computer classes organised for all age groups and a variety of software tools.

Music, Art and Dance

Children have access to both a musician for singing and an Artist comes in to teach the children Art. The school has a large hall where Dance is taught and where cultural and other events are hosted.

Classrooms

Children have access to fully networked smart classes with unlimited access to the internet. There is a resource person on hand each and every day of the year to assist teachers should there be software or hardware issues with the software or system. Every classroom at St. Dominic’s is very spacious allowing for activity based learning in various forms.

Laboratories

The school has separate biology, physics and chemistry laboratories which are well equipped.

Library

The school has an excellent library facility with several thousand books, magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Our Librarian is very experienced and encourages children to have a love of reading.

Sports Grounds

The Kindergarten group have their own playing space. Our sports grounds are unrivalled, the children have access to an indoor shuttle badminton practice, two basketball courts, two throwball and volley ball courts, two football fields, a large athletics ground which is also used for cricket and separate cricket practice nets.

Segregated Buildings

Classrooms are organised for specific age groups in mind. There is a kindergarten block for children up to the age of 6 years. There is a separate block for children up to the age of 15 years. Each block is independent so that children mix with their own age group.
