Foreword from the Administrator

I am delighted to welcome you to our refurbished website. The refurbishment of the website is our attempt in improving all aspects of the School from academic performance and co-curricular events through to improving communication with parents and the outside world. This process of improvement has begun since my appointment as Administrator of the School in May 2010.

With the assistance of the School Principal, I have looked into the qualifications and length of service of staff and seen what improvements could be made. We now have a very enriching in-service training programme for our teachers. The teaching faculty looked into the complete core of the curriculum and pedagogy and have now put in place several new features to the teaching curriculum which will show increased improvements in the results of the children and will continue to show improvement over time. At the same time we have introduced new teaching aids for the teachers such as EduComp smart classes into the School classrooms and revamped the laboratories and the School library. We believe we now have a very delightful teaching experience for our children and many happy children are delighted to come to school each day.

I have worked closely with the School Prefect to ensure that we have an excellent and disciplined atmosphere at the school. We introduced a Prefectural system at the school in 2012 and this has greatly assisted the discipline, on-time and ease of class management at the school. Our newly appointed school co-ordinators also greatly assist in the flow of academic life at the school and we are continually looking to innovate and remedy deficiencies at the school by holding regular parent teacher assemblies which were initiated as soon as I was appointed to the School.

During my time, we have introduced a complete makeover of the school grounds which has required extensive works to take place to school infrastructure including the building of a new school stage, a rainwater harvesting programme, extensive plumbing and electrical works, re-designing and fitting out of classrooms, library and laboratories. Our extensive sports grounds continually have to be maintained and we therefore have a large core of ground staff to assist us in this work.
