Admissions to the School

The academic year will commence from May.

The academic year at St. Dominic’s School begins in May. Admissions are open to children between 3 years and 15 years, subject to availability of seats.

As a policy, we do not admit students directly into Class X. All applicants are required to take an aptitude test, followed by a personal interview with the student and parents. For classes other than Nursery, a Transfer Certificate from the previous school must be submitted. Entry into Nursery requires a minimum age of 3 years.

Stage One

Parents are welcome to visit St. Dominic’s School on weekdays and on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays of the month (Sundays closed), between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, for a school tour. No appointment is required.

After the tour, parents may collect and complete the entry application form from the school office (available for a fee). Forms must be filled out in person by the parents; we do not accept forms by post or through third parties. Details of any supporting documents required will be provided at this stage.

Stage Two

Your child may be required to take an entrance examination to ensure proper class placement. Once the assessment, application, and submission of all requested documents are complete, parents will be asked to confirm their interest by paying the admission fee. This fee secures the child’s seat at St. Dominic’s School and is non-refundable in case of withdrawal or non-appearance.

Parents are also requested to keep the school informed of any change of address to ensure smooth communication.

Declaration

By applying for admission, both parents agree to abide by the school’s rules and regulations, which may be updated from time to time as required. Parents also consent to St. Dominic’s School collecting and processing personal information about their child for purposes of assessment and student welfare.
