Foreword from the Principal
We have made every attempt to help you with information on our school by using this website. We understand that where you put your child for school is a crucial decision and have attempted to answer the ‘where’, ‘what’ and ‘how’ questions you may have.
St. Dominic’s is primarily a national institution with a pluralistic perspective aimed at a diverse secular, religious and eschews democratic values. Though a catholic institution, we affirm faith universally and our value education system is aimed at encouraging children of diverse faiths in harmonious and collaborative living. The school’s motto is, “excellence, discipline, knowledge and honour”. The school therefore aims to develop the very best that is latent in the children and encourage them to bring out their very best. The secular and ethical values are cherished, and an atmosphere prevails where every creed and faith is allowed to flourish. The students are educated in a way that permits them to grow up without inhibition and prejudice in any form.
The education process is enshrined in our children to encourage a precise, deep sense of patriotism and loyalty, cherish values and cultures, and to lead a practical ethical life right from the time they join the school. Our education process encourages continuous learning, provides ample opportunities to develop a variety of talents, maintain law and order and harmony in the world.
The size of our classes which are to a maximum of 45 children (but normally between 30 and 35 children in each class) ensures that each child receives individual and personal attention and every effort is made to ensure that children are brought up in a comfortable, inclusive and endearing environment. It is our endeavour to make education a purposeful, meaningful and enjoyable experience.
We await to cordially invite you and your child to our school.
